Measure

Web analytics services: GA4 & Google Tag Manager

Many GA4 accounts count things twice, miss key conversions or mix up where traffic came from. We plan what to measure, build it cleanly in Google Tag Manager and show your team how to use it.

What's included

Everything we take care of.

  • A measurement plan: the events, conversions and reports your business needs
  • GA4 setup or clean-up for online stores, lead generation and content sites
  • Google Tag Manager containers, data layer, triggers and variables
  • E-commerce tracking from product view to purchase and refund
  • Form, call and WhatsApp-click tracking for lead businesses
  • Cross-domain and user ID tracking
  • BigQuery export and Measurement Protocol for offline sales
  • Audits of existing setups, documentation and team training

Tools we work with

Platforms we know inside out.

  • Google Analytics
  • Tag Manager
  • BigQuery
  • Search Console
  • Shopify
  • WordPress

We set up and use these tools in your own accounts. Names and logos belong to their owners.

Who this is for

Any business that makes decisions from its website data: online stores, lead-generation businesses, publishers, SaaS and service firms. It's especially useful if your GA4 was set up quickly during the switch from Universal Analytics and nobody fully trusts it.

Common problems we fix

  • Double-counted purchases or leads, often from tags installed both directly and through Tag Manager.
  • Missing conversions — WhatsApp clicks, phone calls, forms in pop-ups, steps inside checkout.
  • "(not set)" and "Unassigned" traffic that hides which campaigns work.
  • Payment gateways stealing credit, when visitors return from Razorpay or a bank page and GA4 counts it as a new visit.
  • No link between website data and real sales in your CRM or store.

How we set it up

  1. Measurement plan. We start from your business questions: which channels bring customers, where people drop off, which pages and offers work. Then we list the events, parameters and conversions needed to answer them.
  2. Tag Manager build. A clean container with a proper data layer, clear naming and only the tags you need — GA4, Google Ads, Meta and others.
  3. E-commerce tracking. From product view to add to cart, checkout steps, purchase and refunds, with product details for reporting.
  4. Lead tracking. Form submissions (including multi-step and pop-up forms), click-to-call, click-to-WhatsApp and booking tools.
  5. Cross-domain and user ID. One journey across your site, checkout and booking domains, and logged-in users recognised across devices.
  6. Clean attribution. Payment gateways and your own domains excluded as referrers, consistent UTM tagging for campaigns, custom channel groups that match how you market.
  7. BigQuery export and offline data. Raw GA4 events exported to BigQuery, and offline sales sent back with the Measurement Protocol. See marketing data and attribution.
  8. Testing, documentation and training.

Audits

Not sure what you have? A GA4 and Tag Manager audit checks configuration, tag accuracy, triggers and variables, naming, duplicates, consent behaviour and data retention settings — and gives you a prioritised fix list, whether we do the fixes or your team does.

Privacy

Tags follow the visitor's consent choice through Google Consent Mode. We help you set up a consent banner and keep personal data out of GA4. See consent management.

FAQ

Common questions.

Why don't GA4, Shopify and Meta show the same numbers?

Each one counts differently — attribution rules, time zones, ad blockers and refunds all play a part. We get them as close as possible, explain the gaps and agree which number the team uses for decisions.

What is the difference between GA4 and Google Tag Manager?

Google Analytics 4 stores and reports your data. Google Tag Manager is the toolbox that decides what to send and when — for GA4 and for ad pixels — without editing your website's code every time. Most businesses need both.

Can you fix an existing GA4 setup instead of starting again?

Usually, yes. We audit what's there, keep what works, remove duplicates and broken tags, and rebuild only what's needed. Your historical data stays in the same property.

Do you set up GA4 for Shopify and WordPress?

Yes — Shopify, WordPress, WooCommerce, custom websites and web apps. On Shopify we use its customer events system so checkout steps are tracked reliably.

Will you train our team?

Yes. Every setup ends with a short training session and a written guide to the events, conversions and reports, so your team can use it without us.
